Bear Creek Elementary PTA

Get outside and explore the forest with an ecologist. Let nature calm you of stresses from the day and boost your self-esteem. Learn about interactions within the forest and the role humans play. Join us to think creatively building forts, following bugs, and splashing in puddles.  Bring a snack and be prepared to play outside rain or shine.

Please note that this is not a facilitated tree climbing activity.

Remember how much fun it is to hide out in a fort or watch a leaf float downstream twisting and dipping. Enable outdoor play for your child through Forest Time after school. We could be making music with natures instruments, on a scavenger hunt with magnifying glasses, building mud pies and learning about stream ecology or hiding out in a fort that feels like a little slice of space this big busy world and this is just the beginning of the activity list. Each month new research is coming out confirming what we already knew, time in nature is good for us. From building our motor skills as we navigate bumping trails and duck under branch tunnels to our building up our immune system with the natural good bacteria of the outdoors. Nature offers so many benefits, send your student out in the forest with us and they will come back muddy, relaxed and rejuvenated.
